Refreshment Hosts- are needed to fill two important Sunday shifts: 8:50-9:30am and 9:15-10am. Tasks include refilling creamers and supplies, making coffee and washing treat trays. To serve, please contact Jet at x226, or sign up in the Connection Center.

Children Children's Ministries Serving Opportunities
Show children the love of Jesus
through relationship and His Word!
September 2010 - May 2011
Nursery (Birth-24 months): Assist Nursery Leaders in age appropriate rooms; providing loving care and beginning faith formation through playing, praying and provided curriculum.
Preschool (2s, 3s, 4s, or Kindergarten) Providing faith foundations and character development through relationships and provided curriculum.
Teachers lead the lesson and oversee the class
Assistants greet children and parents; and/or help with snacks and crafts
Elementary (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade) Providing experiences to live the faith through relationships and provided curriculum.
Small Group Leader: Develops relationships with children in their small group, and helps them to discover spiritual truth through the curriculum, discussion and prayer.
Small Group Assistant: Develops relationships with children and assists the Small Group Leader.
Large Group Leader (11:13 Service): Facilitates Large Group teaching using curriculum and creativity for a fun, yet sincere interaction with the children; oversees the flow of the Large Group; responsible to prepare small group resources as needed; responsible for set design, as needed; cooperates with Small Group leaders for small group follow up and suuport.
Large Group Worship Leader (11:13 Service): Has the privilidge of leading children in worship through song and motion. Would like someone who plays guitar and enjoys interacting with kids! 30 minutes weekly at the beginning of service.
Large Group Tech (11:13 Service): Operates and stewards soundboard, lights, audio, video, etc. for Large Group service.
Shadow Friend: Do you have a heart for Special Needs Kids? We have opportunities to minister one-on-one with special needs kids in the classroom. Training is provided. This is a powerful ministry to the child and their parents
Other Available Opportunities:
Check-In Operator (30 minutes weekly, prior to 2nd or 3rd service): Greet children and families, and volunteers as they arrive at the Resource Center; check in children and volunteers at one of the computerized check-in stations.
Greeter: Greet families as they wait in line to check in their children. Direct families to next available Check-In Operator. Must be friendly and outgoing.
Resource Center Manager (8:00 or 11:13 service): Register new families, assist them in location classrooms; greet attendees and volunteers as they arrive at the Resource Center; check in children and volunteers at the computerized check-in station; assist teaching teams gather supplies from items located in Resource Center.
New Family Welcome & Connection Coordinator: Send welcome packets to first time visiting families who registered children in the Resource Center; follow up with a phone call to welcome, provide information about ministries of the church and how to connect. Some computer; will train; can be done from home.
Clerical/Office Tasks: assist office staff in on-going tasks or special projects as needed. Some may be done from home.
Data Entry: assit office staff in re-occuring computer tasks or special projects as needed. Some may be done from home.
Hospitality Coordinator: Recruit and Coordinate others to prepare food/hospitality for various events, such as trainings, special work projects, children's presentations, etc.
Prayer Team: Pray for requests from Children's Ministries such as special Gospel presentation days, special events and weekly needs.

If you love books and enjoy helping others discover the treasures within them, then join the Resource Team in the Connection Center. Assistants are needed on Sunday morning and mid-week to organize and update.

Student Ministries STUDENT MINISTRIES SMALL GROUP LEADERS
Small Group Leader for Junior High or High School
Are you in a home group? Do you love teenagers We need more small group leaders who are already in home groups—we offer training, support, prayer and encouragement.
Looking for a coordinator for our sermon copies ministry. This would involve about an hour an a Wednesday or Thursday working in the usher’s room duplicating CD’s and DVD’s to fill orders. Contact nancyshippy@gccaz.org.
Media Team People with technical abilities are needed for operating video production equipment for Sunday services. This includes the running of remote controlled cameras, graphics and production equipment. Contact Kevin Kampman at kevinkampman@gccaz.org.
Tech Volunteers Needed! Do you like to push buttons and turn knobs? If so, we have a place for you to serve! The tech ministry is looking audio, video, and lighting volunteers for all three services. Usher Ministry... There are openings for dedicated people who want to serve our church and our Lord. Responsibilities: escorting worshipers to their seats, providing worship folders, collecting offering, serving communion (possibility), cleaning up pews immediately following the service and providing information and directions as needed. Persons with computer and filing skills are needed in the W&A office to catalogue music and drama databases; some can be done on home computer. Hours are flexible. Contact Nancy at nancyshippy@gccaz.org.

Are you creative? Do you like to work with fabric, candles and flowers to create a beautiful worship atmosphere? We need people to help with decor for sermon series and special events. Contact nancyshippy@gccaz.org.

Communion trays need to be prepared on Saturday mornings for use in Sunday services. This generally takes less than an hour. If you can help on a once-a-month rotation, contact nancyshippy@gccaz.org.
